Bramall Construction:
Windmill View is a development of two, three and four bedroom properties that have been completed by Bramall Construction in partnership with Synergy, Pennine Housing 2000 and the Housing Corporation.

Two of these properties are rather special – indeed a landmark in the quest for energy saving – for they are the first houses in the country to be designed and built to the Sustainable Code Level 4 recently established by the Government as an eco-target for new homes. The stringent requirements of level 4 have been met by utilising a number of different systems including solar panels, 300mm fully filled cavity walls, and improved U values on glazing, doors and loft space. The piece de resistance, however, is the installation of NIBE heat pumps designed to convert air that would otherwise be expelled in the normal ventilation process into energy for domestic hot water and central heating.
