Responsibility
The managing Director has overall responsibility for ensuring that the company complies in full with relevant environmental legislation and regulations.
Environmental responsibility is a concern for every NIBE employee.
The employee’s participation in the environmental responsibility has to be secured by education and information.
Production
The company will make environmental adaptation in the production, use and final disposal of its products means of competition.
The company will accord high priority to the efficient use of electricity and water and to effective and non-polluting combustion.
The company’s environmental work will extend to encouraging environmental awareness among its suppliers and contractors.
Manufacturing plants
Manufacturing will comply with both current and anticipated environmental requirements.
This is part of the company’s process of continuous improvement and its work to prevent polluting emissions that together will create at platform for establishing environmental targets. There will, however, be no destruction of capital asset.
Information
Information to employees, customers, suppliers, authorities and public will be open, objective and correct.
Recycling
The company shall strive to use recyclable packaging materials, to recover and recycle waste from its own operations wherever possible, and to work towards a transition to recyclable products.
