Today marks the announcement of the government's £15million Renewable Heat Pump Premium Payment Scheme, which aims to support up to 25,000 installations of heating technologies. The Energy Saving Trust is very pleased to be delivering the scheme on behalf of the government.
Householders in Britain will be eligible for up to £1,250 to help towards the cost of renewable heating systems such as biomass boilers, air and ground source heat pumps and solar thermal panels.
The scheme will mainly focus at around four million households in Great Britain not heated by mains gas, and will also be a learning exercise - participants can give detailed feedback to help guide the future direction of renewable heat across the nation.
