The NIBE Awards Ceremony 2010 took place on the evening of the Installer Conference at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole on Thursday 18th November 2010. After the Installer Conference the guests attended a drinks reception followed by a Gala dinner. Jim Bowen, famous for hosting Bullseye, gave an amazing after dinner speech, that, even the sternest of men could not help but laugh at, and Jim then went on to reveal the winners of NIBE's awards for 2010. The first award of the night was the NIBE Project of the Year, Runner Up prize and this went to Earth Renewable Consultants for an amazing project on the Isle of Skye that featured the retro-fitting installation of 11 NIBE F360 Exhaust Air Heat Pumps in various property types. This was a high profile project with hard to treat heating and insulation measures. This project also won an award from the EST. Malcolm McPherson and Marc Sutton came up to collect the award on behalf of the company.
The next award was for the NIBE Project of the Year, Winner. This prize went to ISOEnergy in Horley. This project was for the Whitbread, Burgess Hill Premier Green Hotel and Beefeater Restaurant. The heat pump installed here was a NIBE F1330-60kW. The innovation, sustainabiltiy and energy/cost saving aspects that were apparent in this project rated very highly with our panel of industry experts that judged the NIBE Project of the Year Awards 2010. Amongst the panel of judges were the EST and HPA. Justin Broadbent and Neil Lawson collected the award on behalf of ISOEnergy.
Next on the awards list was the NIBE Installer of the Year, Runner Up prize. This was awarded to Earth Renewable Consultants and once again Marc Sutton and Malcolm McPherson came up to collect the award.
Lastly, but by no means least, the NIBE Installer of the Year 2010 went to H T Energy based in Northallerton. The Installer of the Year competition is scored on various aspects by the installers customers and Howard Tribick at Alex Oxley were very proud to collect their award from Phil Hurley (and judging by the photo, from Jim Bowen also!)
